Play

Landscape Structures

Did your childhood playground consist of a merry-go-round in one corner, a jungle gym in another, and a swing set in a third?* The founder of Landscape Structures did away with that antiquated notion when he introduced the concept of “continuous play”—changing the way kids play today all over the world.

This is a great story, but one I don’t get to tell very often. That’s because this client continues to revolutionize the world of play, so there’s always a plethora of new stories to tell.

*Then we might be around the same age.

Inclusive Play brochure

Landscape Structures has led the way in understanding and designing for inclusive play: playstructure design that goes beyond accessibility to invite children of all abilities to have fun on the playground. This guide was created to provide schools, parks & rec boards, and other community organizations with the key information they need to begin thinking about and developing their own inclusive playground. It solidifies Landscape Structures as a leader in the category for both their forward-thinking designs and learned expertise.

PLAY books

Since Landscapes Structures was founded by a landscape architect, or LA, this is a significant audience for them. The first annual PLAY book premiered at the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Conference in 2012, positioning Landscapes Structures as the playground equipment design partner of choice.
